As provided by the NEES System Integrator, there will be a centralized storage area for critical research data regarding all NEES sites and individual sites. This central repository will have the ability to store data and metadata, as well as allowing users to easily manage and organize data and metadata as they see fit, all in a secured computing environment.

Depending on your storage needs, there are a few options open to you at the Cornell NEES facility. We have a local file server that can handle smaller accounts utilizing less than five gigabytes of storage per account. If you anticipate high telepresence usage you may be a candidate for a NAS (Network Attached Storage) account, which is capable of handling upwards of 200 gigabytes of fault-tolerant data.
